For the first time in the history of Class 10 board exams of the Maharashtra board, 957 students achieved 100 percent marks. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the results for Class 10 students and recorded its highest ever passing percentage of 99.95 percent.
This result came about after the state had held no board exams due to the pandemic and students were declared passed. The marks of the students were determined on a fixed evaluation formula decided by the board.
As many as 1,04,633 students have scored above 90 percent marks in this evaluation. While 22,384 schools had a 100 percent pass percentage. Konkan region is reported to have got the highest pass percentage of 100 percent and Nagpur the lowest of 99.84 percent.
As is seen in most of the past years, the girls did little better than the boys in the Maharashtra SSC Result 2021. The overall pass percentage of girls is 99.96 percent and the boys’ pass percentage is 99.95 percent.

Even though the pass percentage was at an all-time high, there were a few who could not manage to score their best. About 758 students failed across the state while 128 students who took the re-examination failed.
The responsibility for internal evaluation had been fixed on the school teacher, headmaster. A 7-member results committee was set up in each school. However, soon after 1 pm, when the results were to be declared on the board’s website, it crashed. Students had to wait a long time to find out their results.
